Any one from uk? some questions.

Can anyone tell me more regarding car modification rules around here?

Can the engine be transplanted to any size/type? or is it cc/vehicle/brand specific?

Gearbox swaps? legal? how about auto>manual?

lets say if it's ok, what are the typical labour charges for
1)whole car paintjob.
2)interior refurbishment
3)engine work/transplant(pounds per manhour)
4)average cost for an alignment?

Any things legal if done safely. It may need approval afterwards.

No idea on costs i'm afraid.

Boggy 01-15-2006 02:53 PM

that's a relief.

Well, cost is always a problem isnt it?

btw, from your post below, you work in central london? which part?

I stay in camberwell, and study at the strand. Plan to buy my first car here, still quite clueless on the details.

Re: Any one from uk? some questions.

You can do what ever you want providing it passes an MOT.

Your insurance will go through the roof and may require an Engineersa report on the work done.

Boggy 01-29-2006 02:47 PM

my insurance is already over the roof.

dear lord....5k pounds to insure myself.
