Euro Delivery Head's Up--warranty delivery date wrong
I saw a prior post on one of the model forums that someone had caught that AudiUSA had the wrong delivery/start date for their vehicle obtained via Euro delivery. I brought my Q5 in today for its 5K mile service, and sure enough, same problem. The listed date in Audi's computer service records was in late May 2013, while I took delivery per the stamp from Ingolstadt in the service book in mid-July. That also ties to Sirius previously supposedly turning on the service prematurely while the car was still sitting in a parking lot in Germany for close to two more months, let alone getting back here. The car was built at the factory a week or two before the date the computer system shows, but way before I picked it up at the factory delivery center.
Net, I caught it and have the dealer service people trying to straighten it out. The SA said he has seen it before too. A heads' up for any others doing Euro delivery--check your warranty/delivery date. Meanwhile, a ding for Audi corporate and Euro delivery--just plain sloppy and shouldn't happen in this database age. |
