When I am in Ingolstadt in a few weeks, should I go to Nurnberg even if I have no car?

I am on a 3 month tour, and am going to Ingolstadt for my birthday on the 12th... Since I am so close, I was going to try and get up to the Ring as well, see if it is an open lapping day. Maybe someone will want to give me a ride... worth it?

Nürnberg is a city near Ingolstadt, the Nurburgring is nowhere near!

You could take a trip to the Ring on another day though!

They are booked a year in advance although they do let you register for cancellations once there.

it won't be open until the end of March. so i wouldn't go out of your way much.

there are some cool things to see, but your time would be better spent going somewhere else, i'd think, unless you're really close.
