Balloons, Planes & Automobiles II Aug 20-21, 2011

Join Audi Club Northwest and fellow enthusiasts for a one, two, three, or four day weekend of driving, dining, and sightseeing. This is a perfect opportunity to get your better half or your family out for a club weekend; we have included great French food, dinner on the beach, playing at a water park, and a nighttime ballooning experience. This family event presents unique photography opportunities of balloons, planes, and automobiles, all the wonderful scenery, and the opportunity to photograph your car with museum aircraft.

Cross the Columbia River on a ferry boat, drive along less traveled scenic highways through Oregon’s coastal mountains. Experience the awe inspiring beauty of Highway 101 on the Oregon coast. See the largest flying boat ever built. Stand inside the world’s largest wooden hanger, so large it can make its own weather inside the building. Enjoy the only water slide going through a Boeing 747. Park your car among the aircraft on display in front of the Evergreen Aviation Museum. Audi Club Northwest encourages participants to enjoy the event on a daily basis, with your choices of weekend activities including:

Balloons: 30 hot air balloons flying from the Evergreen Aviation Museum Saturday and Sunday mornings, with an evening balloon glow Saturday at sunset.

Planes: Visit the Evergreen Aviation Museum and the Tillamook Air Museum.

Automobiles: Driving twisty coastal and mountain highways. Stop at scenic overviews
along the toure route. Each day presents different individual or group drive
opportunities of your choice.
