I agree 100% .
I like this one better, but still, the threaded option is needed without doubt.

I'm very interested too in the technical issue preventing a threaded view from working. 23 million posts is HUGE, okay, but they're not displayed all at once :P

* threads, obviously
* less vertical white space. Compress the "user box" or whatever it's called on the right. The "Topic Review" format is a good example of how this should work
* post titles are useless because they are difficult to read. Need to be larger
* too many clicks to track a topic

If you can't ACTUALLY thread things, then can you try a mode where the replies are merely listed under the main topic by title, in order? Preferably close together. vB puts too many things in boxes. ie: like Kawf, but single indent.

Okay, I'm surprised that vbulletin cannot support the sheer size of the messages here to the point that the threaded view had to be disabled. Threaded view is one of the more important features in a forum software IMO.

I'm quite suprised actually that they cannot make it work. I administer a few large vBulletin installations, and with proper performance tuning of the whole application stack, we've had no issues w/ vBulletin.

I just really want to know what exact issue(s) were faced that led them to disable threaded view - if we really cannot get a decent technical explanation, then I'm assuming it was solely due to the greedy desire for more ad revenue by serving more ads on this **** format.

Thank goodness for adblocking software

I was all excited to get to move to vBulletin (I do like the software) until I got to my userCP and couldn't enable threading mode...

"User box" on the right? Forgive me, not 100% certain what you are referring to, on the right, if you are able to outline it a bit further, hopefully I/we can help!

Making them larger.
* too many clicks to track a topic
If you go through the user guide at the top, it outlines how to increase the number of posts displayed on a page.

You can go here if you wish to change it:
https://forums.audiworld.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
Scroll down to "Number of Posts to Show Per Page", select the number you prefer. Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Adrian

Default your other right

sorry, I meant the box on the left where your name and avatar are.

Posts per page isn't a problem. Jamming on my scroll wheel 5x more than I used to is the problem.
