What is Champion racing at Sebring this year?

This is a C&P from the motorsports forum. No RS6 in WC this year? Any speculation to what the 2006 car will be (RS4?)? Does Studdard or someone else plugged in down there know what's going on?

""from a race official, Eric Prill (not me):

.......have received this message from Rod Bymaster, Manager, Audi Sport North America:

"After winning the Manufacturer and Driver Championships in 2003 and the Manufacturer Championship in the 2004 Speed World Challenge GT Series with our Audi RS 6 race cars, 2005 is a year for us to look to the future. The RS 6 was a limited edition car in North America and no longer sold here. We are therefore in the process of evaluating a new entry for the Speed World Challenge Series based on an upcoming production car."

We will likely hear more about Audi's future World Challenge plans as we get into the 2005 season.""

Pobst has moved to Tri-Point Mazda and the Touring class for this year

I don't think Champion is sporting cars this year, I just checked the World Challenge website and as of now, they aren't listed as a 2005 competitor.

On a brighter note, Stasis will be driving two ex-BTCC Audi A4 touring cars this year.....mmmmm.....btcc......

Are the A4s B5 or B6...

and how did they do in BTCC? I know Champion is still racing the R8s...aren't they?

Probably was a good move leaving WC-GT, I think the Vipers are going to dominate this year.

I wouldn't count out the Caddys. They have great drivers and they learned a ton last year.

6 of top 10 cars were Z06s or Vipers...the righting is on the wall.

American muscle is back but I'm still rooting for Germanic engineering.

B5s, I'm guessing from late 90s (back when BTCC was still cool)
