Default 100 Starter

Hi, im replacing my starter but having a hard time removing the old one because i cant locate the upper mounting bolt, i have an idea where it is but it seems impossible to get a wrench back there, and i wont be able to see what im doing, any ideas on what to do?

If you can imagine that the lower bolt is at 7 o'clock, the upper bolt is at 1 o'clock. It is inboard of the solenoid and indeed when lying on your back in the driveway is pretty gosh darn hard to see.

A long extension and enough room to work is about the best advice I can give you. I use a flex joint on the socket to get it to fit in there well. I wrap a piece of duct tape around the socket so it doesn't fall off. I also use just a little bit of tape around the flex so that it doesn't just flop around, but still has some give to it.
