Default 10v coolant question

so my 10v turbo is flashing the coolant warning light at random times.

-coolant is within min and max.

-it's not getting hot at all... actually it's getting cold.

-when using the heater core (turning on heat) car dramatically drops in temp.

-car doesn't get hot phsically (when flashing, pop the hood and check around, block, head, manifolds, coolant hoses, overflow, all at normal temp.

bad thermostat always recirculating? bad temp sender?

anyone ever come across this before?

Replace your Thermostat, Flush, and then fill your coolant up to the max level.
