Default 10vt oil pan mods? x-post

My current setup is a MC pan with a sledge hammer dent in the side for radiator clearance, and the stock plastic baffle. I have an NG sitting here that I'm going to install because the baffle fits a little better, but I still think it needs more. I'd say I'm to the point of severe oil starvation in first, second and even third sometimes. I actually have installed a small 1.5 qt oil accumulator, and while it works great for startups, I need to solve the root of the problem in the oil pan. I'm also running an AAN windage tray. Does anyone have suggestions on a trap door setup, or something easy to tack weld in?

I wonder if something simple like this would help. The red would be a little piece of sheet metal that would trap the oil in the lower part of the pan, and keep it from going backwards, and better yet out the breather if it's a little over full. I personally have much better luck running 1/4 qt to high, but it usually doesn't stay there long. It would still have a slope to it so the oil could drain back to the pickup.

http://www.motorgeek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1822#17765</a
