Default aan interference.. how bad??

hello,
I'm looking at a s6 w/a broken timing belt and wondering how bad the interference is on these. the owner had his mech look at it and was told 2 valves needed replacement. How bad bad can it be? does this often ruin the head, how about the pistons? what am I gambling with here? The owner said it broke @ less than 10mph a few blocks from his house, cold motor 203K on car. I know you really cant tell until you open it up,just wondering what others have found. I am mainly concerned with the head or pistons being toast $$$$$
thanks all

I think they typically bent all the exhaust valves.
I don't think the head or pistons get damaged.
Get a price on a used head and figure that is worst case.
I think Brian Weldon has something for sale.
