Default Hi! I have problem with idle after going past 3000rpm it drops to 0rpm and stalls!?

I have S2 1991 20VT, with Garret 28r, Bosch green injectors 440ccm and ECU stage 1 upgrade. It is first time in 4 years. It started after car was 2 weeks in garage. I scanned it with VAG and no error code! I checked the ISV and it apears to work, no errors in VAG. Please HELP.

Default Stalling after revving tends to usually be an air issue.

What did you do to confirm the ISV is working? If it remains open at all it could cause a msssively lean condition and subsequent stalling.

Assuming you are still using it plumbed as a BPV? Check to see if the BPV is opening or again the spike in pressure could essentially do the same thing.

Once it stalls, pull a plug to see if is wet or appears as if it is very lean.

I'm guessing you don't have an ignition scope, but a regular timing light will tell you if you have a sudden loss of spark.

Default I only disconnected ISV, and then checked with VAG,

and it showed error (so it is responding), then i reattached the wire to ISV cleared the error and started the car, but the same. So i guess it means that ISV is working. OR NOT?
I have been using BAILYS MOTORSPORT BOV around 1 year with no problems, i relocated its position 2 days ago, and after that started the problems with idle. But i didn't changed anything else.

Default Then the opposite applies

The BOV needs to open otherwise it will stall. If you've just moved it then go and check to see that it is plumbed right and/or if there's a kinked or blocked hose.

Got a boost guage?

Default I took a part BOV and there was everything OK. But i discovered that if i unplug the connector from

ISV then car don't stall. So that means ISV is shot???

Default Sounds like it is stuck

Remove it and visually inspect it to see if there is a large amount of buildup inside. If so you can try to clean it with carb cleaner to see if it will help. The shutter also may simply have frozen (or the motor itself has) whereby it isn't moving.

Default Testing

With no power to the ISV you should not be able to blow through it at all. You can make a quick tester with a 9v battery and a switch. With power to the ISV it should open smoothly and you should be able to blow through it quite easily.

It's a good quick test. The ISV should draw about 430 ma so the battery won't last terribly long.
