Was just given an '89 Quattro Sedan with the NA 10v

Very nice car with 230k on it. First Audi. Already have a '92 Galant VR-4 Was wondering how practicle it would be to drop a 20vt in it. Thanks!

Please describe further... 20vT into your galant? or in to the audi?

An Audi 5 cylinder 20vT is a direct bolt in to your 89 quattro (doesnt matter what model), just wiring and plumbing needs to be done. See 034motorsport.com for enough shopping to keep you drooling for awhile.

If the VR4 is a 20vT (and thus you were referring to putting the galant motor in to the audi) then no, the swap would be completely not worth it. If your going to do something that custom you might as well choose a better motor to start with. Mitsubishi + Audi = Blasphemy

Haha. No I meant the Audi. Thanks for the info. :)

Very doable

Finding a donor is the hardest part actually.

It's a bolt in swap with some other tidbits to do.

Easy but it will cost a few grand to do it a less expensive alternative is

a 10V turbo out of a 5000..

Sure..but

The net gain is much less too. For the cost and effort involved the 20VT swap benefit/cost is much better.
