Default lean and misses at low rpm

i recently replaced my fuel distributor on my 87 5000qt to fix a fuel issue and now that it's fixed, something else went wrong.

when the engine is cold, it won't idle and it misses bad up to about 2500-3000 rpm and is running really lean 16-19afr. once it gets past 3krpm, then it runs fine, doesn't miss and afr is below 14.

once the engine warms up, the idle stays up at around 3k rpm, but will still miss if you drive it and the rpm drops below that.

i tested and resoldered my throttle switch and it tests fine now. i checked pin 1 and ground on the hall effect sensor and it measured around 260ohms. also, i checked pins 1 and 2 and it measured about 6.5v. could this be the problem?

edit: btw, this idle issue started before i changed the fuel dist.

edit#2: it won't start when the engine is warm and if you tap the gas, the engine speed will go up normal, but it will sit there for a second when you let off the pedal and gradually drop down.

Default the imp. thing to check on your hall sender is the change in continuity when the magnetic field is

exposed. The bentley manual explains this is really good detail, but that said i don't think that your hall sender would create a idling issue. When mine was messed up, the car wouldn't even start.

I think that your car may be due for a tune up, and perhaps a ISV. Clean it out with some carb cleaner and see if that makes a difference.

i cleaned the isv and clamped off the hose going to it. neither seemed to solve the problem.

Default unplug the green wire off the top of the coil while the car is running, and see if that changes any

thing. This makes the ISV go to its baseline setting. the idle should change when you unplug it
