Yes, I know this is 2.8 v6, but take a note

Simple work and it looks very purdy!

Default Does that take off any beading detail in the casting or is it just a cleaning with no detail loss?

I like the rough cast look over polished.

I like that a lot... what exactly are you using there? Looks like fine steel wool?

Default Why not get it bead blasted? It comes out lookin so purdy, and it takes less time..

Unless a blaster is not accessible, or you don't want to take the manifolds off i suppose. I did it with the 4k IM i put in, and it sent me on a Bead blasting frezy.... wastegate, brackets even bolts...

Either way is purdy though

Default When I did it, the texture was still there. I dont think a steel brush attachment could take down

the rough cast.

Default Manifolds are off the motor...

I may look into something like that next summer when I start to prep the motor for install. Im on a college budget, so we'll see how much "bling" the engine bay gets.

Default I just prepped and then painted mine...Silver 500 or 1500F engine paint topped with 500F clear coat.

And I took the time to give the turbo script a machined look.

It'd look killer in black (krinkle, ala Derek's car) with the "machined look" turbo script....

Default Yours looks professionally done...

I guess I was wrong, I figured you had something special done to it
Paint would be a good idea, what kind of prep work are we talking about here for the manifold?

Default

Is that just the bit/brush, or is there anything on it?
