I saw on one of the post you were talking about replacing your rotors next time you do a pad change. I just wanted to introduce you quickly to SP Performance. Our business only deals with Performance Rotors and Pads. I saw you drove an 2006 Audi A6 and wanted to work up a quote for you.

The front set of Rotors and Pads would be $190, and the rear set would be $160.

For the rotors you can choose from Drilled and Slotted, Slotted, Cross Drilled or Diamond Slotted. They can be Silver Zinc Plated, Black Zinc Plated or Gray ZRC painted.

Pads you can choose from Semi-Metallic or Ceramic.

Let me know if this is something you are interested in.

I did lose a lot of functions on the car & the gas gauge was a little erratic.
I used my Garmin GPS for speed indication during the 4 days that my module was out for repair.

The stuff that you loose, other than ABS & ESP, are fairly nonessential. So, it's worthwhile to pull it & get it fixed

When you sent ABS module out, did you have problems with that Shaymore posted?

I might disconnect ABS connector and drive to check as it shouldn't be any different that pulling ABS.

When my mine fails, I get all the lights, except the parking brake beeeeeep which is annoying as hell, Pulling two 30 amp fuses stopped the beep

Mine fails when it's warm so was thinking what Mishar said about a heat deflector. I wonder where I can get that metal insulation stuff that is around exhaust. Now that temps are cold, mine doesn't fail as soon. If a deflector works, I may luck out hold off repairs till spring.
