I had my drivers-side window play peek-a-boo with me last week. Dropped right down the track when trying to roll down or roll up the window.

Anyone know a good fix for this or suggest a good shop that will fix it for me?

Thanks, it's been a while since I've taken my car to a shop.

window regulator? I'm in midst of replacing it for my '04 A4 as well

Dunno if the B5 and C5 are comparable, but the glass rides on a single channel in the middle that is lifted/lowered via cables.
If you hear crunching, that's likely the cable fraying and you need to rebuild the regulator. But pull the trim panel and take a look before you try to operate it again; might be salvagable(?)

Maybe if you had the 99.5 model, you'd have better window regulators.

They send me 8E0 837 462C instead of 8E0 837 461... freak'n fuggers @ genuinevwaudiparts.com! Supposedly the -461 is on the way to me w/ a return label in the box.
