Anyone else get that Criswell Audi Email?..Summit Point.
Dear Drew,
I would like to personally extend an invitation to you for the upcoming Audi Driving School held at the Summit Point Racetrack in West Virginia on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Building on last year's success, Criswell Audi is sponsoring this one-day event along with the Audi Car Club, Potomac-Chesapeake Chapter. This event will be focused on first-time and Green Group drivers with morning car control exercises (i.e. slalom, skidpad & braking) and afternoon lapping sessions. This is the perfect way to get exposed to our Driver Education events without committing a full weekend. It's also a great event for those who just want to improve their driving skills, but don't have an interest in running a full two-day track event. So please mark your calendar for Saturday, May 10th at Summit Point! If you would like more information about this event, go to http://potomac.audiclubna.org/. Expect registration to open around March 1. I will send you updates as we get closer to the event. In the meantime, feel free to contact me if you have further questions. I look forward to seeing you at Criswell Audi or at Summit Point on May 10th! Yours truly, George Criswell President Criswell Audi 1701 West Street Annapolis, MD 21401 443-482-3200 |
People should take note here....
Neither HBL, Alexandria, Rockville or any of the other Audi dealers in the DC area support the Audi Club and us enthusiasts like George does. If it weren't for people like him, your entry fees for track events would be a little more out of your pocket.

I had dinner w/ George @ Nov VIR... very nice down to earth guy!
and he's doing what he can trying to connect his customers with ACNA-PCC.
|
Are you running it this year? Need help?
|
Yup... and we could ALWAYS use help!
When we get closer to the event I'll let you know.
|
Given I'm a beginner, it's on a Saturday, & it's 1 day, it looks more likely for me than VIR.
I'm going to have to finally transfer my Audi Club membership back to PCC and look into registering. Thanks for the heads-up, Drew!
|
If you're a beginner its a great option....
Do the one day n00b course here, then if you go to VIR you don't have to do it there and get an extra 1/2 day on the track instead of in the classroom.
Not sure what you mean by transfer. If you're an ACNA member, then you're a PCC member. |
I just moved back here from San Diego, so my membership still shows alignment w/ SoCal Chapter.

Huh, guess I never really looked at it. Mine DOES say Potomac!
Guess you'll have to go through the Chapter Transfer Hazing Ritual then! |
Already did that when I went from PCC to SCC. I still can't sit properly. :)
No, it was just a matter of me taking 5 minutes to change my address. Really simple crap, but I'm glad I did it, 'cuz the SCC guys are fun.
Two words: Palomar Mountain. Maybe I should put the video on YouTube... |
