Looking to see if and where I am allowed to leave a trailer parked on a public street.

Default I would say try it and see.

I would assume you are going to leave the truck connected to the trailer for security. If you park in a legal spot with no meters you should be fine. However, though I don't know officially for DC, chances are they consider that just 24hr parking and could ticket you if it is there too long. Don't know what else to say after looking through the DC vehicle code and finding nothing obvious.

Depending on the size of the trailer they may automatically consider it commercial
