I'd bet that 80% of TT owners have no idea what it means
and then probably a good percentage of that that do know what the letters stand for actually know what THAT is.
Same goes for GT, SS and others.
I know what GT is, but since I don't GTi is for a VW am I not allowed to get one unless I do?

A friend of a friend brought his "twin turbo" TT to her house to show it off
He said "yeah its got twin turbos. That's what TT means" I said "no, it doesn't..That car has a single turbo 4cyl engine." He says "no trust me, we can go for a ride and I can show you." I said we can open my hood and your hood and I can show you.." He still insisted he had a twin turbo 1.8 4cyl engine even after I showed him where my turbos were on my car. Rather than argue with the guy over a still very nice car, I just said "whateverdude." and walked away.
Someone selling a car should know basic facts, like what engine is in it..

Really it's more of the fact that no one ever told that guy it was a twin-turbo. >>
It's certainly not in the documentation, and if they took one minute to look it up, they would know. Instead, anyone who says its a twin-turbo is just talking trash. It's a boast built on non-knowledge.
