Default Maryland Car Window Tint Laws/Rules

Anyone out there know what the law is about tinting your cars windows in Maryland? I read on one of the forums that if you tint at all you will not pass inspection when you go to renew your registration.

I believe it is 50% driver/passenger and 35% rear. That's the law for VA so assuming MD is probably similar.

Thanks for the reply. I found out that Maryland is 35% front and rear. Did 50% for both with a ceramic film. The ceramic really keeps the heat out and the 50% isn't too dark. Thanks, again!

35% is acceptable. However, you won't pass MD inspection with anything below 50 like you put on. With the stock windows and 35% you'd be around 27-28%. I did 50% on all of mine as well with the Suntek CIR. It definitely reduces the heat that you feel on your skin and temps inside.
