Moved from MD to VA, now MD is badgering me for proof of insurance...
I can just not respond, right? I mean, I don't live there, the car isn't registered there, so what's the problem?
I'm just worried that some bureaucratic inanity will get me a fine or something. |
call and tell them so
|
If car is no longer registered in MD then I would ignore it. You had to prove insurance when you...
registered the car in VA.
|
You should contact MD DMV and tell them you moved and drop the registration there. VA DMV allows you
to do it online. I just used the VA website this morning to report having sold my X5.
MD DMV should have a comparable web feature. |
Tried once, got put in bureacratic loop on hold, hung up.
|
That would be MD MVA. :oP
|
I wouldn't not respond. They've been after me for months saying I haven't had insurance since 2006
I would fax them any info you have proving VA registration so a human being can review it. Otherwise, they'll start fining you like 7 dollars a day.
