NAV v. I-66
I searched the (new) archives and didn't find a thread - so I apologize if this has been addressed before.
I live in Arlington, VA. I've noticed that whenever I try to plot a trip to the suburbs, the NAV always ignores I-66. When I am on I-66, it tells me it's a restricted road and tries to navigate me away from I-66. This also applies to many Clara Barton Parkway, so I suspect it doesn't like HOV roads or roads that are closed during specific times of day.
Is this a known issue?
Can this be updated via software or with a VAG-COM?
Is there any fix?
2008 Q7 - I think NAV version .4140?
Thanks for any tips

I think you hit the nail on the head, it's the HOV restriction. I believe we did have one discussion on this a while ago. Not sure there's any way around this. Only my Audi nav has this I-66 weirdness. My TomTom doesn't care.

Oddly enough....
...both my old S6 (CD based) and the DVD based R32 systems woult route me via both the Clara Barton or 66 but would then give me an "off road" message...

Haven't tried my RNS-E during rush hour but perhaps I'll check it out tomorrow. Otherwise, whenever I need to plot a route that involves 66, it consistently recognizes the road.
