P/N request... 2000 S4 Instrument Cluster... finally gonna try and get my warranty to replace it
and I just want to make sure the dealer orders the correct part (closest VAG dealer is VW, the service rep there is cool, and it is a mile and a half from my home)
I tach and speedo froze on me for a split second yesterday, on top of the crazy amount of lines out on the info display...

they can't as far as i know either but, all parts are purchased through the warranty company
because dealer prices are ridiculous... i'm more than likely going to do it myself with directions i found on the vagcom website... i have to call the warranty company for the repair.

You are the one that did that headlight mod with the LEDs right? if so, saw your A4 at Hyper Fest, looks NICE with those CCWs!!!

i did, my fault... my warranty company sucks, and relies on the shop...
...for part number information, at least thats what they did for my a/c compressor... only reason i'm going to TRY and get it done at a VW dealer is, the closest audi dealership to me is about impossible for me to get to during the week without me taking some leave days (vacation)...
and this particular VW dealership was a HUGE help in getting the warranty company to cover the work!

thanks, i used this site and they have it available, just cant seem to get the part
to pop up when i search with the p/n 8D0 920 980 D
but i can get it to work when i "browse" the replacement part section...
i thought there was an upgraded p/n...

Here's the info... according to the VIN you don't have the DIS (driver information display), but you mention the lines in the LCD screen, so it sounds like you do have it. Either way, here are you're options
S4 Cluster with additional instruments (What it calls for): 8D0 919 911X (~400-555.10 plus $200 core)
S4 Cluster with DIS (What it sounds like you have): 8D0 919 930QX (~660-819.81 plus $350 core)
