Default yes, thank you. I didn't think they'd let you push the cars as hard as I did. A5 was my fav around

the track. A couple of us stayed afterwards to do the other Audi lineup cars on the track, which was just as fast as with the B8 A4 groups or faster. I really like how the A5 liked to be over driven and steer with the rear of the car. everthing else just wanted to understeer.

Personally, I didn't like the steering of the new A4 -- too intrusive. But, it was the clear winner of the non-Audi competition. That Lexus IS250 plowed understeered right off the track -- worst handling car by far. Benz -- was it built by Chrysler? junk, crap interior. BMW drove well, maybe easier to be fast out of the box with it over the A4, but I think with some more seat time the A4 would be quicker. Interior of the A4 was clearly the winner over the rest.

I didn't get kicked out, but I was warned about almost passing someone in the A5 getting on the back straight gawd, a lot of those people were so slow around a track.

odd driving Shenandoah backwards.

great seeing the AWMA crew.... who I don't get to meet up with too often.

Default Your welcome...I'll keep my eyes peeled for more events..

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/45475/dsc_0607a.jpg"></center><p>
We went at 1:30pm. My fiancée and I had a blast. She said since this was her first time out on a track that she she will start doing more track events with me when I get back into it more. (That's after the wedding in Oct) We just got her a 2004 A4 avant and she has become more of an Audi fan the before.

Roger - I saw your car there and was looking for ya but must of missed you.

Default Did anybody notice on one of the red A4's the adaptive cruise control setup???

<center><img src="http://www.fourtitude.com/news/uploads/Industry_Tuner_News/accplus.jpg"></center><p>Audi installed it right next to the passenger side fog light. I noticed it when I quickly glanced at the front thinking it had three fog lights. This feature I'm sure everyone would love. From the way one of the guys informed us it looks like you can set the cruise on and it will actually stop the car on it's own if the person in front of you stops. "Just set it and forget it"

Default Great. Let's encourage even more mindless driving. Now you can sip your latte and conference call...

... without having the slightest concern for what's going on ahead. No, no! Don't worry! The car will stop itself!

Default I'm all for it....

since the vast majority of drivers in the US don't really WANT to drive safe, there is no possible way to teach them. I bet 99.999999999% of the drivers on the road think they have excellent driving skills.

So, you'd only be fooling yourself to think that people will learn to become better drivers. In this case, I'm all for adding whatever technology is available that can compensate for the owner lack of judgment.

Unfortunately, as enthusiasts that prefer the lack of these systems, well.... its the bad drivers that have spoiled it for the rest of us.

Default See the cheese on K's face?

<img src="http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j115/TheDirtyGerman/summitpointaudifahrtag/DSCN1239.jpg">

For anyone going to VIR in November, you'll see that same smile again.

We rode together while doing the follow-along, and rode passenger side first. Amazingly, she was paying attention to the instructor's voice, as well as my driving. When it was her turn to drive, she did pretty well, and HAD FUN.

Quote from her: "NOW I get it. When's the next DE?"

She wasn't too interested in going at first, let alone actually drive the car. Now she wants to do an actual DE event.

;o)
