87 4000csq starting problem
I have a strange starting problem that seems to be the result of a sparkplug swap. Seeing as how the car has about 177,000 miles on it, I thought it'd be a good idea to swap the plugs out with some new bosch platinum2's. After I swapped the plugs, however, the car would no longer start. I put the original plugs back in, and still nothing. This morning I went out to try it before work and after a brief hesitation, it started, so I let it run for a couple minutes. Not wanting to run the risk of getting stuck at work, I turned it off to try and start it again, but I got nothing. While it was running, it sounded normal, idled smoothly at about 1K, but it just won't start again. The threads in the plug holes look a little rusty, so I thought there might be too much electrical resistance for it to spark properly, but since it ran smoothly the one time, now I'm unsure. Any ideas as to the possible cause and/or a good solution for cleaning the spark plug holes? Thanks.
