90CS Sound System Problems

I've got a 94 90CS and the front and rear speakers on the left side of the car keep flicking on and off. They go back on if you push on them, which makes me think it's loose wires or something like that. How do I get at the speakers? Can the front cover just be popped off with a screwdriver? I guess I have to take the rear door panel off. How do I do that?

hi avery,i've got a 1995 90, so i'm assuming it's a similar setup. for the fronts, you can just pop them out. for the backs, you're right, you have to remove the door panel; this is a messier task than i thought it would be -- it took two people to put the door panel back on afterwards, so have some time if you decide to do this. the key observation is that there's a screw buried in the inside of the doorgrip (you know, the handle one can put their hand through on the door panel) that's just barely visible. once you unscrew that, everything else should be obvious from there. it took me about 2 hours to open up my rear door, fix the problem i was having with my stereo, and put it back together, and i had no idea what i was in for. you may be better prepared.seeya, meem
