BLAUfergnügen!
This is the way I wanna go with my totally stock 1995 90Q. K&N FilterCharger, Skorpion Exhaust, Throttle Body Mod, and Cam package #2 on the Blau specials page, Braided steel brake lines, front and rear(don't know if rear exists) strut braces, 17" Tires and Wheels and maybe Bilstien shocks and Elbiach springs... Any opinions on this 'little' project?
My take awhile to get it done (started, even!), but it will be done!
Glenn.
Its in the Registry
As for Blau, they have fallen through on a couple items I've tried to order from them always sighting "not enough interest to order from Germany"
Their prices are a bit "high" for the OEM parts.
One example,Ur-Quattro upper strut bearings(blues)can be purchased at TPC for half what Blau wants.
I had a complete system hand-fabricated for my CGT, cost was $200 installed! Stainless would have been about $150 more if I wanted it. No fancy tips but those can be added as needed. A Scorpion system for my car is over 2x as much, certainly can't be 2x better.
That is what my 90Q wants to be when it grows up! I was thinking about 200+ Horsepower when it is done. Is that in the ballpark for HP figures in yours?? It's a lot of money for 20 something horse!
You say your exhaust, fuel system and throttle body is modified. How is it modified? Are there any headers for this engine?
I think I will do the engine first, then the tires and wheels and last but not the suspension and strut bearing and braces.
First the K&N Filtercharger Replacment for the airbox...
Then I will definitely look into Dwight's idea about the custom exhaust. I have heard that the exhaust on this car is 'almost' dual. I would like to make it a 'true dual' if possible (and not huge $$$$) and route the new second outlet to the opposite side of the original outlet with some nice matching dual tips for each side...i don't know if this 'true dual' is the best idea for horsepower, but I am sure it would look good. Any opinions on the HP Pros/Cons of my imagined "true Dual' System?
Then the Throttle body and last, but not least the CAMS!
Glenn.
