Just when everything was going good....

something had to go wrong. Why? I just replaced my worn brake pads with ebc greenstuff. Finally, everything on my car that needed to be fixed was. Then out of nowhere my serpentine belt snaps while doing about 85 on the highway. That was fun.
Anyways, are there any special tools i need to replace the belt.

Re: Yah, special tool required is the Factory Repair Manual, or Bentley!

Best $70 investment I ever made for my Audi!

Pays for itself first use away from dealership!

Lots of useful info found no place else!

EVERY Audi owner should have one!

Special tools, probably not... Re: Just when everything was going good....

Not familiar with your car... but
with my car you do not need any special tools.
You only need the right size allen wrench, and
an idea on which way the belt is routed.....
Just loosen the tensioner and put it on, and tighten.
It's more or less just like any other car I haved changed it on....

After loosening the tensioner, should the belt go on easy or is a good deal of force needed

You have to keep the tensioner slacked, but other than that....

It should go right on. Check and make sure the belt is routed right, serp belts are easy to route wrong.
