Need help finding trans code, MikTip, I'm looking in your direction....
I've got a line o a FWD 4k trans to swap into my Fox, but the guy can't find the code anywhere on the case. Isn't it stamped on the bellhousing, or is it elsewhere on the case? The car is a 1985 4000s fwd.

They are suppose to be stamped right ontop of the bell housing, with a series of numbers, that identify them?
Someone could of removed them during cleaning?
Or he's got one that was never stamped?
Ask him to send pictures!
