Folks told me to avoid TAP when I was looking into a chip upgrade for my 200tq 20v. No personal experience though. Hoppen/MTM and IA generally get the best reviews. I went with IA's Stage 3 and am very happy with the result.

Default I had a MTM stage III+ '93 UrS4...

the power was around the 340hp mark. Awsome performance and everyday drive-ability.

I would suggest checking out Hoppen Motorsports or a near by MTM dealer. Where do you live ???

I don't want to dog on TAP, but you have one of the Best cars Audi ever made, peroid. I'd only look at the best quality upgrades possible for that car. MTM is the one to go for. They have the best relationship with Audi AG (Europe) and has done factory upgraded cars such as the RS2...

Hi,

Before you choose, you owe it to yourself to research the other choices noted at www.urs4.com

In my research, I concluded MTM and Intended Acceleration as the best choices for my 93 S4, bought IA Stage III. IT rocks.

TAP uses a stiffer wastegate AND chip change, which was not recommended by MTM and IA for technical reasons and long term reliability.

Default good thing you have quattro :)

you are way up there. Think maybe the Oilers can take the old timers in the first round? I remember travelling up there for a game against the Oilers. We got there the night before, it was in December, and seemed like the sun was only up for a couple of hours. Nighttime lasted 20 hours...

I put in a link to Hoppen Motorsport in Florida. They are the MTM importer, basically, for north america. However, it looks as though they are updating their site, but I'd send them and e-mail to see about a dealer near you...

Default I would never ever use TAP for Chips. Nothing but trouble, BS, & dubious claims in my experience...

I would look at Ned Ritchie or Hoppen for a chip, RS2 manifold and RS2 manifold, possibly RS2 injectors, Stebro for an exhaust.

Wetterauer makes chips for this motor, too; no experience there.

NOTE: this motor does not need a new wastegate spring to make more boost; it needs appropriate software and, beyond 280 HP, an RS2 manifold and turbo. Exhaust not entirely necessary until well after 320HP, except for auditory pleasure. :-)

Eibachs and Bilsteins are nice and keep a nice ride, ABT 'racing' springs or some such sport+ designation with revalved (stiffer) bilsteins is even better (esp the front shocks, less oversteer on lift-off with stiffer fronts). The latter is amazing, but suffers a bit with snow clearance and potholes.

Default Thanks to Everyone for their information...rims...

Hopefully the car will get the treatment it deserves. What about rims? I like the the look of Konig Monsoons. Any experience?
