Snowflake next to outside temp.
since buying the car over a year ago...
When the outside temp gets around 38 degrees
a snowflake appears next to the temp. display.
I know it is a "warning" that the road conditions
could be slipery. Here's the weird thing:
Sometimes the flake is to the right of the temp.
and sometimes it is to the left. I have not
discovered a pattern (are the lights on, wipers, etc.)
Anyone know what makes the decision for right
or left display?
Thanks!
<<<<<<<
"At tempertures between 41F and 32F, a snowflake symbol will appear on the right side of the display. At temperatures between 32F and 23F, the snowflake will appear on the left side."
"WARNING"
"The snowflake symbol is to warn you that there may be ice on the road and that you should pay special attention."
"Ice can form or remain even at temperatures above freezing"

Hope this answers your question!!
It's not as complicated as you thought.

Now I feel really stupid! I could have sworn I
studied that manual -- it is where I learned that
the snowflake means possible ice.
Next time I will be like a carpenter (measure
twice, cut once)and read twice before posting
once!
Thanks again.
