Default Too good to be true: $300 flat for timing belt change

Hey Guys,

Very first ever post on any forum. A great honor and true pleasure to enlist among you all.

Own a 2009 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T. Coming to you all for wisdom and advice. Thanks to you all -- have successfully attempted and changed the following: windshield wiper fluid, power-steering, cabin air filter, recharge freon, buff headlights, change spark plugs and coil pack. Next up I'm doing the engine air filter and mass airflow sensor cleaner...

Long story short: need my timing belt (and water pump etc) changed (~65k) and I found an alleged "ASE-certified" mechanic. Told him my ride's a 4-inline engine and he quoted $300 flat even. What are the obvious (and potential hidden) risks of letting him do the job. Has multiple posts online claiming he has all the tools necessary - all is supply needed parts and car.

Please drop your valuable 2-cents !
