your car budget
Hi all,
my first thread, I believe/hope it belongs in that section.
There are many threads online on the cost of your car(s) VS your household income. But still I wanted the opinion of fellow Audi owners. As I'm new to the US, everything costs different, is taxed different, etc. For example, kid's education in almost free where i'm from, that alone makes a big difference.
Therefore i'm not quite sure what would be considered reasonnable in terms of car spending, providing that I still want to be a responsible family guy.
I ordered a 17 Q7 (looking forward) as a family car, but deep inside my heart screams Porsche 911, Cayman GTS or even Mc Laren 570gt / 540C...
I'm willing to spend money on a toy, an absolutely unecessary stupid unpractical car because well... screw it you only live once ! (and my personnal history taught me not to plan too far ahead). This being said, how much do you think is reasonnable to blow away VS your income? (PS: i'm a home owner, and both my wife and I have nice jobs and an other 30 years of career ahead of us).
