Default Disappointed: Ordered a GPS for the bike and it comes in defective

Ordered a Garmin 2610 with ram mount and cradle for the bike and it comes in today defective. The screen will either flicker like in the video or just be completely black...

This is like the only thing that I was looking forward to getting over the summer =(<ul><li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjLC6tfWSvk">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjLC6tfWSvk</a</li></ul>

Default yeah did my homework. The 2610s that are on the market now are refurbed since they been out for a

while now. waterproof and run of a CF card so no HDD failures on them. I got a refurbed unit with warranty from garmin but still sucks. Was trying to get some testing done this weekend around Northern Virginia.

Default I picked up a nuvi 250 refurb - $142 shipped

<center><img src="http://www.northbaysportriders.com/forums/uploads/monthly_06_2008/post-973-1212913435.jpg"></center><p>It's not waterproof but I don't anticipate using it in the rain. The battery only lasts about 5 hours so I keep it off when not needed (no plug on the bike)

Default The garmin is hardwire and waterproof

I tour a lot so waterproof is a must and the whole gang on bmw bikes around DC has them so it was a no brainer for me.

GPS came to 160$
CF card 17$
Ram Mount 30$
Cradle + hardwire cables 34$
