Default The new Triumphs are great.

I had a 2004 Triumph Speedmaster which has similar parallel twin and many of the same components (just in a cruiser style, rather than the retro standard). Never had a problem with it, other than a leaky seal that was replaced under warranty. No issues with electronics. The new Triumphs are very reliable machines.

I had my eye on a Thurxton before I bought my Speedmaster, but decided I wouldn't be able to live with the riding position for long. And ultimately I didn't care for the riding position of the regular Bonneville line either.

Default friend recently bought one..

I sat on it but didn't ride. He recently rode it from CT to Stowe and back. It has the aggressive cafe positioning so I'm sure the long ride wasn't that pleasant.
