i left all my classic Suzuki GS's & 3cyl Yamahas behind & got an '00 BMW K1200LT.
It compliments my '06 A6 quite well.
Actually, the A6 is easier to work on &, with vcds, easier to diagnose any issues....

Just like the LT forum, this one is invaluable to my ownership of the C6.
So, welcome to Audi ownership & this wonderful forum!
Actually, I joined each once I had decided the vehicle that I would buy. It helped me to research my purchase/ownership tactics.
The vcds benefts are essential to having reasonable maintenance costs. It lead me to get my gs911 system for LT maintenance. &, now, I'd use it on any future used Audi buys.
So, enjoy your avant, as well you can!

how about past bikes? I used to ride a CBR600, until I attempted to avoid an animal on the road and ended up driving into a canal/ditch - after a 12' fall the bike ended up landing on top of me and pinning me underwater. Thank-god for someone seeing it and having the piece of mind to jump in and help remove the bike from over me and dragging me up the side, since I was partially unconscious. A 3 day stay in the hospital, 3 broken ribs, internal bleeding and bruises everywhere...but I was ok.
I always get the itch to have a fun bike again, but borrow a bike here and there to go off-roading when I can.
