Default The advantage of cheap race cars...

...is that you don't really give a rat's *** when they get wadded up. Wanna race a Porsche ? Wanna race a Viper ? Wanna race a Corvette ? You're just upping the ante for the inevitable big "thump".

Please consider this instructive and not a criticism. I don't mean to discourage anyone who might want to race a car of some value, but....are you out of your freakin mind ?

Race cars are disposable. Race something cheap.

A somewhat expensive day at the races...good thing that there is beer in Wisconsin.

Default Jeebus...

It's like watching the Blues Brothers to try and count how many police cars got wrecked. Was that four or six Vettes in one crash?

Hmmm. Capri in a tree. Looks like you could buff it out, though.

Default Pulled it off

the tree, hooked the back to one tree, the front to another and stretched it out a bit, then drove it home.

Just before the event the radiator developed a leak, so the radiator was only about a week old. It was wrapped around the fan blades, but never leaked.

Once home I hooked up a chain to the front and a telephone pole, and threw it reverse a few times to make some chassis "adjustments".

I drove it for a month or two, then sold it to a young kid who thought it was "cool" to have a rally car.

That was awesome, went right through without a dust particle getting on 'em.
