Anyone involved or know about Spec Focus? It's intriguing.
It's clearly one of the cheapest way to get into full-cage, door-to-door racing. Some questions:
> Does the Focus "play well" with other cars - is it fun/competitive when running e.g. with Miatas or similar cars? > Is Spec Focus a demolition derby like other low-cost-of-entry series? > Is it worthwhile to gradually "morph" a Focus from street/DE use to all track use? |
Very cool series. It's getting a big following on the west coast.
Ted Severns would be a good guy to talk to. The only e-mail I have for him is Ted@nasa-tt.com

haven't seen anyone running in it on the east coast...what about spec e30?

I'm still waiting to hear more about the GTI Cup series.
I'm biased though.

I hear the scca GTI series is going to be invite only... run by VW
Could be wrong though.

what about spec boxster?

I heard that too....wonder what you have to do to get invited.
Probably requires more qualifications than I possess unfortunately.

Re: what about spec boxster?
That's the one that interests me. There seem to be more and more of them appearing at POC events. I'm slowly edging that way now (a piece at a time).

That sounds kinda fun Kenny... you thinking about it?
Seems like a spec Cayman would make more sense though...
How ya been? |
Thinkin about it, yes.
All is good over here man. Long time no talk!
