B5 A4 or S4 is great Track Car
But, having said that you need to consider the cost. If you can easilly afford RS6, then S4 may be a good track car for you. But if spending 30K to get a stock car track ready, and then about 5K per year to keep it there too much you may want to go with A4 1.8T. I would gess the costs would be 1/2.
Then there is always a question "What constitutes a good track car." I will go with pat on this one - the one that kicks *** in its category / classification. If that is what you are after - B5 S4 is the car to get.
But if your answer is cheap to run, nimble, etc. Get a stock Elise or a Miata. If it must be an Audi - 1.8T A4.
If you are serious about this. Talk to Pat or myself, or STaSIS guys. We will be open about the cost and effort required, but also the results.
So, how fast do you want to go?<ul><li><a href="http://www.startupracing.com/Contents/Gallery/PatricBlackS4.htm">My choice is B5 S4. This is Pat's car, no one to take my pictures :-(</a></li></ul>
