Default Corded R compounds...

Let me preface this by saying I'm a lazy ***.

OK - so a couple weeks ago I had an autocross and threw my R compounds on the car for it. Fast forward to last night when I finally get around to taking them off the car to put my street tires back on. While they appear to be suffering little to no wear while they were ON the car, I noticed that the front tires had barely corded on the inside only. The outside looks relatively newish. But the inside are corded from my excessive (at least for the street) camber. The rear ones are perfectly fine and in fact look brand new still.

Can I just toss the barely corded ones on the rear and use them at the track? My R compounds have always worn WAY more on the outside at the track when the car's receieving the proper loads, as opposed to the inside of the tread getting 80% of the load under normal street driving. I'm thinking since the wear is only on the inside I can still run them at the track where that portion of the tread gets no wear. OR, should I just sack up and buy another two tires?

Thanks!

Default if i had a dedicated beat track car i'd probably use it, but old questionable tires are only for

autox for me. heck even in autox i'd be blaming myself if things dont feel right, but i'd really hate myself if i made a bad call for track days

Default I would hope that tech would see the cords and say "change them". I worry about tires with rubber

on them, I never worry about tires with the cords showing. Throw them away. You need to decrease the camber or drive harder.

Default Like I said, the cording came from running my R's on the street.

They wear perfectly at the track, so I don't want to screw with camber. Just wondering if I could get away with running them at the track where the inside would receive little wear.

I really don't know any tech people that would let you on the track.

Don't have an extra set of track wheels to put em on, so they'll be garbage.
