CT Stasis Event?

CT Stasis Event?
Anyone attend? How did it go; do they get their race season? I tried to send a pile of dopplegangers in my place, but they all had exams this last week.
I *almost* justified the drive from Milwaukee for myself.

Second hand info...Bell broke about 6 laps in, Prull (sp?) may have gotten 3rd. Lots of mud. Most
impressive pass was Newman at the age of 78. On the outside at the bottom of the downhill then another car on the inside instantly down the straight...in a downpour. Ended up 5th. My hero!!

Re: Second hand info...
Yep, this is correct. John Pral finished third (his career best), in the slop. Touring was a very exciting race, with a lit of (two wheel drive) cars all over the place. The GT event was less exciting, with the more experienced drivers. The Audis faired poorly, in my opinion. Jeff Probst finished second (behind a BMW???) and Mike Galanti slid off the track fairly early and finished poorly. Looks like the setups were wrong, and the RS^ is a big car to be sliding around in the rain. FAST, though.

First hand info
Justin Bell sidelined the car after the first lap. John Prall spent much of the race in 4th & 5th, but used some timely passes and some slowing leaders to move to third, following his 5th place finish at Mostport. Only bigger (ie, more $$$) teams finished ahead of Stasis.
In GT, Galati tagged the left-hand guardrail in the uphill, damaged the suspension and parked it. Randy Pobst led from the flag, but slid off at Big Bend, handed the lead to the BMW and finished second. He was bracketed by BMWs (Stuck 3rd).
