Default street mod

you don't have to go 2 because you have four seats! plus you are based on the vw mkiv platform, which is 4 seats. I wonder if the roadster has to run sm2? chip will def put you out of the sts/x classes.

if this is your first auto-x ever, you might want to run the street tire class as well. straight sm will all likely be running r-compounds and be much faster. are you going for points for the whole year? or just for fun? that might make a difference what class you decide to run.

Default What throws me out of Street Prepared? Is it the chip?

According to stx "Reprogrammed ECU may be used in the standard housing." Not that I think I would be in STX.

I'm planning on running street tires and am pretty sure that I will race the entire season.

Default reprogrammed ecu is ok, but the thing is you can't up the boost

...which is what chips do for our cars. If you raise your boost, you're in SM.

Default Yup, SM2 it is. Went to a general meeting today. Even though there are 4 seats they say national

rules show it as sports car based, same for the roadster that has 2 seats. It is the chip that puts it in SM2.

Thanks again,

Bill
