I was probably trying to figure out how to fit in a Spec Miata...
I really need to get a house so I can park my race car that I'd buy instead of tracking my street car.
Sort of like hip bone connected to the leg bone kind of thing.
Yes, I'll be at Laguna. What will you be bringing? I'd love a ride. :-)

Our weekend best was a 2:03 but in the race we ran 2:05s...
we actually had a difficult race, followed two cars into pit lane on turn 1 (thinking it was sunset) and then the next lap got punted off the track by an Integra but fortunately didn't do any damage. We actually pitted twice for fuel...I only did the first hour because of a mountain bike injury...my endurance wasn't very good.
Car ran well though and mechanically we had 0 problems and had alot of fun. Our main competitor for the class was that red CRX and they were a bit quicker but had some mechanical trouble and ended up pitting a third time and that saved us I think.
Saw the TT out there...met Mark also. Was a great weekend but I'm very very tired and sore hehehehe.

Rides - Maybe next event
<center><img src="http://www.radicalmotorsport.com/gallery2002/lgrad%2012.jpg"></center><p>I am bringing the SpecRacerFord - single seater so no rides.
However, this is what I have on order. Should arrive in June, then I can give rides. (1100 lbs dry, ~200 HP, 2G cornering.)

Hehehe those photos are my co-driver scrubbing in some tires...
he used his instructors license to get a few laps since we didn't get any warm-up on Saturday to get the tires fresh.

Re: Hey...it has lights...enduro car!
I DID order it with lights and my intent is to run it in some enduros as soon as I get some seat time. It is SCCA CSR (but would need a stronger motor to be really competitive) and NASA SU. That night enduro looked like too much fun.

Several people have run sports 2000s in enduros...
it's a bit of a stretch for the inherent light weight of the car...you figure that a 3 hour enduro equals several "normal" races but you don't get time to fix the alignment etc so the sports racers don't tend to finish but there have been some interesting battles between Porsche RSRs and S2000s.
As long as the car was stout and mechanically reliable it WOULD be a blast...only real downside is the propensity for other cars to go off and then come back and not always get out of the way...several of the Renaults do enduros and we actually still have body damage from one that hit us in the 12 hour two years ago hehehehe...guess their bodies are pretty strong.
How much was that thing anyway?

Some BMW laptimes
Navid ran around 2:00 flat in his E46 M3 (Kumhos and coilovers). Jerry Brown was running 2:07s and 2:08s in his E30 M3 on Kumhos. My best was a 2:09 in a basically stock E36 M3 w/automatic on A032Rs (a borrowed car as my 330i is in the shop). The fastest BMW was the Speedvision car owned by Gil Caravantes which ran a 1:48 during the Sunday BMW CCA race. It came very close to being the fastest car at the entire event, being pipped by about a quarter of a second by a car in the ASC class.

The silver one in the Driving Concepts group...
I got a few of his laps on video. His best was just over 2:00. He's got a very fast car...and he's a very fast driver. He ran a 2:05 in the E46 M3 at Thunderhill (with the Cyclone). He would normally be racing with BMW CCA but his track car is out of commission.
