Performance friction?

Performance friction?
I'm going to be doing a couple track events this fall. I've got the Stasis/Alcon 332mm kit on the front, stock rears. I usually run either Porterfield R4 or Hawk Blue all around, but I think I'd like to try PF pads this fall. Another thing I'd like to try is running a higher torque pad in the rear to even out my brake bias a little bit.
I am, however, confused about their vague compound descriptions. Am I looking at running 97 in the front and 93 in the rear? I'm basically looking for the equivalent of running Hawk Blue up front and HT10 in the rear.
Any advice?

Re: Performance friction?
Generally the folks at Porterfield (who sell me my PF pads) recommend the 97's in the front and the 93's in the rear.
I have not used Hawk pads so I can't comment on them but I have run Porterfields race pads on my Challenge car and switched over to the PF pads.
Some things to be aware of with the PF 93 and 97 pads:
1) They take forever to get heat in them...on cold days I have to tape over my brake ducts so that I can get them heated up quickly.
2) You need to be extra careful to bed in your rotors with these pads. The PF pads are not the most friendly in terms of rotor life. I run 14 inch Brembo cross drilled (cast not drilled technically) and even with a good bed-in proceedure the rotors last only half as long as they did with the Pagid Orange or Porterfield race pads.
3) You will notice the higher torque bite right away. First time I used the PF pads I was amazed at how they stopped the car better than the others. I am now using a comound the Trans Am guys use which is so far the best pad I have used in terms of stopping distances. But it's a trade off with rotor life.
Hope this helps!

thanks, exactly what i needed to know.
I think I'm going to stick with the Hawk Blue/HT-10 option for this season. My rotors are too damned expensive.
Also, do you have a cheap source for Brembo/alcon/someone slotted rotors? I need some 332x30, 12 hole.
