THIS IS NOT A PRESS RELEASE!!!!
Just wanted to let all the Audi fans know that we are still representing the older Audi's well in SCCA Improved Touring Racing here in the North East. Last weekend 7/12-13/03 Stephen Blethen drove one of the Audi Coupe's home to a very hard earned victory on Saturdays race... On Sunday he fell short ending his 5 race winning streak with a second place. Raymond Blethen had mechanical problems in the race Saturday after dropping a few wheels of the exit of turn 12... The car started "skipping" and would not rev past 4,000 RPM. We were unable to find the problem and he did not get the results he was looking for... However he still remains in the fight for 2nd place in the point's championship!!!
For more information check out the website...
PS: Boy this sure does sound like a press release but I just can't figure out how to write it so it wont sound like one!!! Oh well, anyone offer non-press release writing classes!!!

He's not in the third person, it's a team & he's referring to his team mate.

Re: competition...
To see the official results (that lists names and car #'2 go to):
http://www.rstperformance.com/seasonpoints.htm
Here is a breif summary of the types of cars that were entered:
Saab 900, Volvo 142E, Volvo 143E, Opel Manta, VW Rabbit GTI, VW Golf GTI, VW Scirocco, BMW 320I, Ford Escourt GT
Some of the "heavey hitters" were a VW Rabbit GTI sponsored by Shine Racing Services driven by Tom Kelly, the 3 VW Golf GTI's entered by Vantage Motorsports out of Canada, the Volvo 142E driven by Paul Curran (Eric Currans father, you might recognize Eric's name from variose profesional races throughout the contry over the past couple years)...
Everyone in the top 10 on our results page were all within 1-2 seconds, and have the potential to win.

I ran at the old track, never on the new track yet.
I pit crewed for some GT races for Vince Basile (white civic, on this board) in may. my favorite track along with watkins glen for sure...
dont ask me to pick which is better though...REAL TOUGH choice
good luck with your season,
Liam
