Something rotten in ACNA-land....
If you're a member of the Audi Club, you might want to take a look at the discussion going on in the Chicago forum:<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/lrqc/msgs/105809.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/lrqc/msgs/105809.phtml</a</li></ul>

Lawsuit Info available here
There are pdfs of the lawsuit, email contact lists as well as a history of some recent questions posed to the ACNA BOD and Executive Committee. The EC has not responded to ANYTHING.
If you care about the ACNA, read it, draw your own conclusions and email everybody you can.<ul><li><a href="http://www.porridgehead.com/acna">ACNA lawsuit documents</a></li></ul>

And this is a bad thing?
I tend to agree with the idea of term limits, even in an auto club.
I am sorry for the individuals involved. But a lawsuit?
c'mon. take a year off, and get back in the fray....
Perhaps it will be revitalising

Yes, it is a bad thing. A very, very bad thing.
Read the lawsuit. Read the questions that have been asked of the BOD and the EC. Understand that the EC is acting illegally. It's not about lawyering up at that drop of a hat. There's so much wrongdoing being performed by the ACNA Executive Committee that chapters are threatening to disband should this continue. This could mean the end of the ACNA and the responsibility rests on the shoulders of Keith Anderson, Dean Esmail, Mark Sampson, Mike Veglia and Karen Chadwick.
This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.<ul><li><a href="http://www.porridgehead.com/acna">Here's the lawsuit docs</a></li></ul>

Teapot? Your chapter president doesn't think so...
You might want to check out the link below. It's a letter to the ACNA BOD from Marc Nguyen, the president of the Potomac-Chesapeake chapter, explaining his position on the subject.
That sound and fury from that little teapot has grown very powerful indeed.<ul><li><a href="http://www.porridgehead.com/acna/Marc%20Nguyen%20Potomac-Chesapeake%20Chapter%20President.pdf">Letter from Marc Nguyen to the ACNA BOD</a></li></ul>

I see your points. I think (presuming they hadn't tried this) that the good of the club overall
would tell them to all sit down at a table with a mediator and hammer it out. I don't recall on the doc's whose responsibility the legal fees are, but they should certainly not be born by ACNA.

They had HUNDREDS and HUNDEDS of members BEGGING them to sue and have had HUGE
donations to a legal fund to pay for their lawyers.
