Default Tomorrow is the big day...Gordon/Montoya trading cars at Indy

Speed at 1:00pm (or 12:00) replay at 7:00 and 12:00pm.
I wish somebody in the US would step up with hundreds of millions and build a competitve chassis.

Default I'm hoping It'll be interesting

and not a prolonged patting each other on the back festival. Do you know if they'll run the williams car on the road course, or just stick them both on the oval?

10am PST on SpeedTV for those of us on the left coast.

Default Both on the road course actually...

I thought Montoya was supposed to run Gordon's car on the oval initially but he decided that he'd rather run it on the road course. I'd really like to see Tony Stewart in that F1 car more so than Gordon, personally.

Default I don't think Tony can fit into an F1 anymore. Jackie Stewart wanted to give Gordon a

test years ago(Ford at the time), but Chevrolet said no. To bad Gordon would have been very good...to old now.

Default HAHA! you're probably right. i heard similar rumors about Robby Gordon way back when...

i think Kranefuss (head of Ford racing at the time) wanted to take Robby overseas but he had too much of an attitude issue. He was very fast when he first came on the scene though. Those were fun years for CART.

Default Update: (spoilers for Tivo folks)

Both went out for a couple 3 lap sessions. Montoya went 1:38.xx in the Monte Carlo and Gordon a 1:16.46 in the Williams. They said M. Schumacher qualified at 1:10.xx last year.

Both were immediately on it. I think Gordon's second lap in the first run was a 1:20. Never seen Gordon with a bigger grin ever.

Default Jeff did good!! I especially like the part when Jeffs stepfather said

how he had been waiting and hoping for this day since Jeff was a little kid and that it was in a BMW the best car in the world. No more free GM's for that guy.
