Is it possible they rubbed the car? I'm sure Sharon's fenders are rolled, but enough?
I've heard Hoosier's are only good for a few sessions (at best), and the S4's no lightweight, but I agree with you, that's kinda hmmmm....
I would paint the inside of the fender with some washable red paint or something (i know that sounds terrible), and see if it hits the tires.
Then again, there might be a better way to test that.
Best of luck, keep me informed as 6pots and Hoosiers are getting closer to my car.

Well, it's not the fenderlip...
...since they blew on the inside edge of the tire. I checked the wheel well, I couldn't see any point of contact. Hmmm....
Luke@Tirerack is great, he's sending me another tire at half price!! Thanks, Luke!

Whee! I must say...
I could hardly tell anything was wrong, other than we were about 2 feet outside the line Corey took the previous couple laps. The event was positively ho-hum from the passenger side (though it may have been more disturbing to be holding the wheel). Corey you were pretty smooth through that corner with the flat!
I'm also chomping at the bit for my Vortrag coilovers to come in now. But I'll need to work on the driver a bit to come close to a 2:10 behind the wheel

Corey, curious, did you take the temps accross the tread earlier with your high tech tool :)
Wondering if it was excessive camber on the straights coupled to toe that caused excessive heat hmmm.

How much camber, and how much toe ?
I've had that happen when I've screwed up the toe, if I'm running extreme camber, or if I'd whacked something and knocked the toe off. Any funky "rainbow" discoloration of the remaining rubber ?
Sometimes, you just get a tire that gives up early and pukes off the tread. Had it happen with a 2 hour old BFG R1 at Nelson Ledges 5 years ago. No warning, no extreme alignment, it just spit the whole center of the tread off between 3 and Oak Tree. A wild ride, as I was at full honk in a sprint race.
