Default Another Boston BT: Where to stay? I really would like to do Ninezero but I can't bring myself to

drop $450 + for just a room for one night. I would like to keep the room to $300 and under for the evening. Where do you guys suggest? I am still trying to decide where to eat :P

I was looking at the Jurys Hotel earlier. Looks nice. I would do ninezero, but I would rather have more money to be able to put towards dinner.

That is a possiblity. For the date I'm looking at, it's $279 a night.

The Bostonian isn't bad. Right by Fanieul Hall. Rooms are smallish, though.

Default A few suggestions

You mentioned a few places that were more on the boutique side of things, so you might want to check out The Eliot Hotel.

Another possibility -- the old Ritz, now Taj Boston. I looked a few months ago, and rates were actually pretty good; perhaps they're having occupancy problems.

Personal favorite is the Boston Harbor Hotel, but I'm biased because I work in the complex and use the hotel's services almost daily.

be there, but for the week after it's $420 a night.

Default IMO hotels are usually a waste..

For location and 1 night, I guess you want downtown. I get more satisfaction out of a B and B, knowing I saved 2 bills a night and got better service. Big chains don't give a F@C@ they will book you in a pricey room on one side of the hotel, just to have you wake up to a sledgehammer worksite at 7am that they never told you about.

Unless its on the company tab and well above 500/nite, just try your luck on hotels.com instead. I have seen good last minute rates for the Nine Zero in the past. Or try the new Intercontinental, next to BHH. My agent can get a corporate rate at BHH for half what 4 seasons wants. And btw, the Taj sucks; the old Ritz was beatup and tired, it still needed renovation after the 9/11 redux 5 years ago.
