Anybody ever been to the Silvertone Bar and Grill near the Orpheum?
Going to see Ron White on Saturday with the fam and trying to figure where to eat before hand

Yum.
I dig Silvertone. Can get a somewhat "afterwork suits" kinda vibe, but otherwise, the food is good, and the atmosphere ain't half bad. I don't know if it is kid-oriented, however. I didn't see any children last time I was there.

I know one of the owners
Foods OK. Comfort food. Better stuff available in the area but like everything, you'll pay more. Still, it's a good place.

Best fries in Boston imo.
They've got a killer mac'n'cheese and the grilled cheese is good too. I'm not a vegetarian.
|
try the fries at public(k) house on beacon st. in brookline area
they have 9 different dipping sauces too, but they arent your traditional fries...i like the beer mustard sauce
|
sometimes a pain to get a table, great beer though...
|
Sweet, thanks.

It often gets crowded before Orpheum gigs. Food's fine, nothing special.
My office was in the same building as the Silvertone for years, though we just recently moved. It's lively and very noisy, weekend crowd is a little cooler than the 6PM scene which is new faces in the same suits year after year.
